CAREERS AT REMONDIS

Applying for a job with REMONDIS

The application process

We hope you’ll find a role here that you’re keen to fill. If that’s the case, we’ll take you through a process designed to ensure we’re a good fit for your needs, and you’re a good fit for ours.

We will communicate with you every step of the way to keep you informed, and provide you with as much assistance as you need.

We want to give your application the best chance of getting through to the right person. Here are our Top Tips for successfully applying online

  • Fill in as much as you can - this helps save us time down the line. We keep applications on hand for future opportunities that arise, so if you’re not successful at this stage, we will be in touch if there is something more suitable down the line.
  • Upload a cover letter - as well as uploading your resume, please upload a customised cover letter. We’d love to hear what has piqued your interest about working at REMONDIS.

We want you to get to know us, and the role, as much as we’re keen to get to know you. Here are our Top Tips for a successful phone interview:

  • Let us know an appropriate time - We can work together to find the best time for a phone interview. A time when you'll be uninterrupted and in a quiet spot. That way you won’t be distracted and miss the chance to represent yourself in the best possible way.
  • A little homework will go a long way - if you have time, do a bit of research into who we are and even check out who’s interviewing you on LinkedIn. We’ll send you the details before our call.

Interviews are known to be strange affairs, but we believe they shouldn’t be! We see this conversation as a two-way street; a chance for you to assess us as well. We’ll organise an in-person or virtual interview at a time that suits you. Here are our Top Tips for a successful panel interview:

  • We use Teams for virtual interviews - please ensure you have it installed and running on your computer before the interview.
  • Interview questions - The best way to prepare for the interview is to have a few career highlights that relate to this job in your back pocket. Thinking about what you enjoy, rather than what you’re good at, will get you into the right zone.
  • Come prepared with your questions for us - as we said, this is a chance for you to get to know us. Please ask us as many questions as you need to know if we’ll be the right fit for you.

Following on from our Interview, we may carry out pre-employment checks such as police checks and reference checks. Here are our Top Tip for passing the pre-employment checks:

Give your references the heads up - Tell them about the role you have applied to give them an idea of what relevant information to pull from. You may want to remind them of some of the best work you’ve done together so it’s front of mind for them.

Prepare to join us in working for the future!

Our Recruitment Team will keep your application on hand for future opportunities that arise, so if you’re not successful this time, we will be in touch if there is something more suitable down the line.

Justin Azzopardi, Driver

“We’re working in an essential service. It’s critical work and I feel proud of the important role I play, unlike some driver jobs where you’re like a steering wheel attendant. REMONDIS has such a friendly environment, everyone from sales through to operations are approachable. They put their people above all else.”
