Branch Manager – St Marys, NSW

We are seeking an experienced and people-centric Branch Manager to lead our original and largest C&I waste Branch in St Marys. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end operations focusing on process optimisation and improvement to drive operational efficiencies across the P&L and multi-disciplined team.  Your background and previous success driving commercial growth and developing opportunities within revenue streams across Waste Management & Environmental Services will be highly valued. 

As part of our Leadership Team, this role has responsibility for managing the daily operations across two other connected sites; Picton and Lane Cove and is an exciting opportunity to expand your leadership and operational career while creating a positive environmental impact. About the Role:

  • Lead and mentor a team of dedicated employees, promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability across the St Marys, Picton and Lane Cove sites.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver customized project managed waste treatment solutions.
  • Optimize operational roadmaps to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive efficiencies and performance improvements across safety, productivity, profitability, cost management, cash flow and compliance
  • Be responsible for adequately resourcing and equipping all business functions of the branch including people, structure and equipment
  • Develop and successfully execute effective management systems to ensure safe and productive engagement of employees, contractors and subcontractors
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to staff in St Marys, Lane Cove and Picton
  • Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
  • Gather, analyse, and interpret external and internal business performance data to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance: Ensure all waste treatment processes comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and processes to enhance waste treatment efficiency and sustainability.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to enhance business partnerships.
  • Lead and manage multiple projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

About you:

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and high safety standards.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the waste management industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the waste industry.
  • Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
  • In-depth understanding of waste management technologies, environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Relevant certifications in hazardous materials management desirable.
  • Proven experience across operations and business development.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
