Are you a Graduate Lawyer seeking hands on contractual experience in a small, experienced and highly supportive legal team in an industry making a difference to a more environmentally sustainable future?

The waste industry is evolving at a cracking pace and REMONDIS is servicing customers and building and operating infrastructure to remain at the forefront of the circular economy journey. We are a contract driven organisation and are searching for a smart, energetic and organised Graduate Lawyer who has the resilience and drive required to deliver timely legal services across our national operations.

What you’ll love:

Stepping into a permanent full-time role in-house where you can apply and develop your legal knowledge with mentorship, supervision and support (1 day flexible work from home). Although contracts are our backbone, you will deal with a wide variety of other legal work to build your professional skills as a well rounded in-house lawyer and have close interactions with the wider business.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with stakeholders to execute non-disclosure/consultancy agreements and REMONDIS precedent construction and other standard form contracts
  • Lead in relation to further maturing our digital legal operating model and AI journey -as well as driving compliance with our digital contracts register, delegations of authorities and sign offs
  • Assisting with the development of legal precedents and templates and provide quality input on commercial letters and other documents
  • Undertaking legal research as and when required
  • Assisting the legal team with developing and delivering training packages and legal updates to the business
  • Consulting stakeholders on governance, company policies and legal matters
  • Providing administrative/corporate governance support including invoicing, ASIC searches and compliance

Who you are:

  • You are LLB/JD graduate either with a current practicing certificate or commencing PLT but able to undertake PLT whilst working full time
  • You're proactive, accountable for actions and resilient in achieving outcomes
  • You are proficient across the full Microsoft 365 suite, incl PowerPoint
  • You enjoy problem solving, have attention to detail and can efficiently balance multiple competing priorities
  • You're highly organised with excellent time management, oral and written communication skills
  • You're open to being coached and are a team player
  • Previous work as a paralegal or similar is desirable but not essential
