Based in Tomago this role will deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, while providing valuable insights into operational performance in line with group accounting principles.

What you’ll be doing

• Prepare end-of-month accrual journals and Profit & Loss reports.
• Produce weekly activity reports for a major customer and manage the timely collection of outstanding debt.
• Provide financial insights and advice on business performance to Head Office and Senior Management.
• Establish and maintain accurate financial reporting tools and systems.
• Ensure accurate reporting of revenue and costs relating to tipping and subcontractor-performed jobs.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide backup support across Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable as required.
• Support capital expenditure requests and related documentation.
• Perform General Ledger reconciliations.
• Undertake additional reporting, accounting, and administrative duties as required.

Skills and Experience

• CA / CPA qualified
• Strong exposure to revenue management, and subcontractors working model 
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial/management/other accounting roles
• Advanced excel skills and experience working with various systems 
• Strong accounting skills 
• Experience in preparation, oversight and accountability for P&Ls and balance sheets 
• Proven track record in providing robust financial analysis to support business decisions 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
