Are you passionate about providing exceptional service and leading people to make a difference and achieve major outcomes? Then we have the perfect opportunity! Our Integrated and Managed Services Business Unit in Chinchilla, Queensland are looking for driven individuals to be part of our journey.

Job Overview:

This primary purpose of this role is to lead our Chinchilla operations both commercially and operationally to ensure the highest possible levels of client satisfaction, maximise contract profitability and expand our service offering wherever possible.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong and supportive leadership at the branch level
  • Build an empowering operational culture focused on safely delivering results
  • Provide guidance, management and support across the business to ensure the business operates safely, productively, efficiently, and effectively as an integrated team.
  • Develop commercial and industrial waste management business within existing business areas, operate the landfill / transfer station (as applicable) and manage customer contracts in the most effective way, within the region.
  • Meet customer needs as determined and described in customer service agreements.
  • Dispose of all waste types in accordance with all government regulation.
  • Ensure the safe operation of vehicles / equipment
  • Ensure only competent operators carry out the required duties
  • Minimise vehicle maintenance costs
  • Minimise external subcontractor and disposal costs
  • Ensure prices are set to maximise profitability
  • Manage driver discipline and effectiveness


Qualifications/Licenses


No specific qualifications required however formal qualifications in business management, environmental management / science, engineering or waste management considered valuable.
