Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Identification, sorting and packaging of hazardous/non-hazardous waste for transfer to other facilities
  • Working closely with the HSEQ team to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.
  • Job costing, management and compliance reporting
  • Ensuring correct storage and labelling of outgoing pallets in accordance with regulations
  • Assisting with lab pack services to various industries, laboratories and school sites
  • Performing administrative functions around the daily operations of an industrial warehouse
  • Liaising with staff day to day to ensure chemicals are handled in a safe and suitable manner
  • Sampling of waste for analysis at external laboratories or through external facilities
  • Research, design, develop and implement more efficient treatment and consolidation practices as well as systems and procedures to ensure the ongoing safe and efficient processing of waste
  • Creating and maintaining systems and documents for reporting purposes
  • Working within a warehouse and office environment on a daily basis 

 

Who you are

  • You have a background and passion in Science, Chemistry or related field
  • You communicate well, and your written and verbal style when interacting with peers and colleagues is as friendly as it is consultative
  • You’re able to complete manual handling tasks safely throughout the shift
  • You’ll be up to date with safety regulations and standards to ensure we're always operating in a responsible manner
  • Whilst experience in the waste arena is a nice to have, more important to us is the drive, motivation and resilience required to succeed in a high growth, dynamic environment
  • You’re competent in computer literacy including Microsoft Word & Excel and highly organised with accuracy - no detail is too small!
  • Having a Forklift licence is a plus or you’re willingness to obtain one
