Financial Accountant - Minto NSW

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our ETS (Environmental Treatment Solutions) team in Minto NSW. This position is a Max-Term Contract until June 2026.

Reporting to the Accounting Manger, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties to support the finances of the REMONDIS ETS business unit.


What you’ll be doing

  • Financial Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and maintain updated records of all financial transactions.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Ensure timely creating and receipting of PO’s and payment to suppliers. Review invoices and ensure accuracy. Manage relationships and address inquiries from suppliers. Conduct reconciliations for supplier accounts. Reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Assist in Month-end Close: Support month-end closing activities by preparing AP accruals, journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. Assist in completing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets as required.
  • Expense Management: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with special projects and other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or senior team members.


Who you are:

  • Finance related qualifications
  • Understanding of financial principles
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Effective time management to ensure timely completion of tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Attention to detail in completing tasks accurately.
  • Accounting qualifications, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
