We are now looking for an Operations Manager to join our Organics Resource Recovery Facility (ORRF) based in Lake Macquarie, NSW. The operation receives green waste and organic materials and converts these resources into high quality compost and mulch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage Operations: Oversee all departments across the operation, including health and safety, maintenance, scheduling, people engagement, service delivery, and customer relations.
  • Ensure Sustainable and Profitable Operations: Play a crucial part in REMONDIS' growth and performance for the sustainable, profitable, and safe ongoing operation of the purpose-built site servicing the Port Macquarie region.
  • Contribute to Real-World Problem Solving: Utilize experience in waste, agricultural, or manufacturing environments to address and solve real-world problems in the resource recovery sector.

Who you are

  • Experience in a similar position in waste resource recovery / reuse management, treatment and/or recycling practices (preferable).
  • Experience across manufacturing, mining, agriculture or an aligned industry would be considered.
  • Previous experience in blue-collar, high-risk industry environments including on-the-ground stakeholder engagement.
  • Accountable for financial and business activities on an operational level, such as P&L and budgeting.
  • Proven experience in working with environmental regulators, such as the EPA.
  • Proven experience in achieving outcomes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, verbal and written communication skills.
