REMONDIS Aqua Australia is part of a global leader in sustainable waste and water management. We are expanding our industrial water treatment team and are looking for a skilled and motivated Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join us in Townsville for a great local opportunity.

About the Role

In this full-time role you’ll work directly our client’s site, operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment infrastructure. This is a stable, technical role with minimal physical work, consistent treatment processes, and the support of modern, well-maintained equipment.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the treatment plant, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and adjust the wastewater treatment process, including chemical dosing
• Conduct field testing and prepare samples for NATA-accredited lab analysis
• Complete daily operation and maintenance checklists
• Prepare accurate reports on treatment activities and plant performance
• Identify and troubleshoot process issues to ensure continuous compliance
• Work closely with the client and our multidisciplinary team to ensure operational success

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment operations
• Certificate II or III in Water Operations (or similar industry experience)
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team and client needs
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• A willingness to learn and grow with the business
• Experience across various treatment methodologies is highly regarded
