What You’ll be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and informative waste education programs to residents, schools, and community groups.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organisations and key stakeholders
  • Support and promote sustainability initiatives, including the Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) program.
  • Conduct bin audits and provide guidance to residents on correct waste sorting and bin usage.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver awareness campaigns across social media and other communication platforms to promote the residential three bin system
  • Represent REMONDIS as community events, schools, universities, and council meetings
  • Collaborate with local councils to plan and implement waste education initiatives and activities
  • Liaise and coordinate with Wollongong City Council and Shellharbour City Council to support program delivery and community engagement.

  • Educational background or relevant experience
  • Genuine interest in sustainability, recycling, and other environmental issues
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Confident, engaging and proactive approach
  • Ability to ask meaningful questions, actively listen and deliver clear advice
  • Resilience, creativity, and a passion for making a difference in the community
