The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate and proactive Education Officers to join our team in Wollongong. With both full-time and part-time roles available, this position is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about environmental education and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging waste education programs to residents, schools, and local communities
• Build strong relationships with community groups and stakeholders
• Support and promote initiatives like the Food Organic Garden Organics (FOGO) program
• Conduct bin audits and educate residents on correct usage
• Coordinate and deliver awareness campaigns through social media and other platforms
• Represent REMONDIS at community events, schools, universities, and council meetings
• Assist in planning and delivering waste education activities in collaboration with local councils

• Educational background or relevant experience
• Genuine interest in sustainability, recycling, and environmental issues
• Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
• Confident, engaging, and proactive approach
• Ability to ask meaningful questions, actively listen, and deliver clear advice
• Resilience, creativity, and a passion for making a difference in the community

Additional Information

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am start
• Office-based role with regular community visits
• Vehicle available on-site for work-related travel
• Involves coordination with local councils
