We’re currently looking for a part-time Waste Coordinator to support operations at Westpoint shopping center in Blacktown. If you’re a people person who’s proactive, organized, and passionate about sustainability, this is a great opportunity to work with purpose, right where change happens.

The Role

In this customer-facing, on-site role, you’ll play a key part in improving recycling outcomes, engaging with tenants, and supporting day-to-day waste operations. Your time will be spent delivering education, conducting audits, compiling reports, and ensuring high service standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site education and training around correct waste and recycling practices
  • Conduct bin inspections, checking condition, signage, and correct placement
  • Liaise with tenants and center management to identify and implement service improvements
  • Perform regular waste audits and track waste performance
  • Use REMONDIS’ online systems to record data and compile reports
  • Assist with report writing, presentations, and safety documentation
  • Coordinate and follow up on client requests and feedback
  • Maintain strong administrative discipline and track KPIs

What You’ll Bring

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Previous admin, coordination, or customer service experience
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities
  • Comfortable with light physical work (e.g. moving bins around)
  • Tech-confident.
  • Waste/recycling knowledge (advantageous, but not essential)
  • Safety-aware, proactive, and confident working independently
  • A valid driver’s license (required)
