You will have the following responsibilities:

You will provide direct HSEQ support, assistance and advisory services to management and employees across our Swanbank, Northgate and Rocklea sites, ensuring effective risk management and continuous improvement of safety performance.  

  • Provide functional HSEQ advice to site management 
  • Promote a positive HSEQ culture through positive communication and demonstrated behaviours. 
  • Assist sites to demonstrate visible leadership and apply knowledge to reduce HSEQ risk and prevent injury and illness. 
  • Provide assistance to site management detailing HSEQ improvements and corrective actions where applicable and provide functional support to ensure such improvement and corrective actions are implemented. 
  • Support sites to conduct incident investigations to determine root causes, contributing factors and corrective actions and communicate key learnings. 
  • Work with Site Managers and Return to Work Coordinators to develop and review Return to Work Programs. 
  • Work with external parties such as Health and Safety Regulators on notifiable incidents and other applicable requirements. 
  • Assist sites to maintain compliance and training records 

 

 Who you are:

  • You have a Tertiary qualification in WHS or similar.
  • Minimum of two years practical experience in Health & Safety role or similar discipline. 
  • Previous experience in blue collar, high-risk industry environments. 
  • A positive and outgoing attitude, growth mindset and willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and influential skills
  • Well-developed computer skills

 

This role includes a fully paid for company vehicle, and based out of our Rocklea, QLD branch, with intermittent travel around Brisbane and regional QLD sites.
