Are you passionate about transforming waste into opportunity? Here's your chance to lead and grow Queensland’s organics sector in a pivotal, newly created role. We’re seeking a visionary leader to scale organic processing capacity, establish new markets, and secure Queensland’s place as a pioneer in organics innovation.

 

What you’ll be responsible for

In this newly created role as Organics Manager, your key focus will be to develop and grow the organic processing capacity and build market share within Queensland.

This position will lead the organics business in Queensland by driving growth through securing input volumes, growing end markets for finished products and achieve optimal commercial agreements for ongoing supply.

 

More specifically, you will be involved with:

  • Spearhead strategies for growing organics in Queensland, expanding processing capabilities, and driving market share.
  • Win tenders for organics facilities while securing input volumes for existing and upcoming operations.
  • Oversee the development of cutting-edge organics infrastructure, driving projects from inception to execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with councils, industry bodies, and government agencies to shape the future of organics policy and guidelines.
  • Develop end markets for organic products, creating a sustainable supply chain and achieving profitable commercial agreements
  • Devise strategies and implement an economical and quality-orientated approach to operational and technical improvements in organic facilities.
  • Drive operational excellence in organics facilities with innovative, cost-effective strategies for improvement.
  • Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team to ensure outstanding business results.
  • Support budgeting and financial oversight to ensure growth targets and profitability.

 

Who you are 

  • A proven trailblazer in organics recycling, composting, agriculture, mining, or related industries.
  • Skilled in crafting winning strategies and tenders that drive business growth and market expansion.
  • Highly knowledgeable about compliance and regulations across all levels of government in organic waste and compost management.
  • An expert in project management and technical planning for organic facilities.
  • A strong communicator, organiser, and advocate for exceptional customer service and collaboration.
  • Financially savvy, with solid experience in reporting, IT systems, and administration.
