Who we are:

REMONDIS is one of the world’s largest recycling, service and water companies. With 1,100 employees and 38 business locations, REMONDIS has been operating in Australia for 40 years, now servicing more than 24,000 commercial and industrial customers. We work collaboratively with customers and local authorities to deliver innovative, safe and reliable solutions across all industry sectors.

The waste industry is evolving at a cracking pace. We are also in the midst of our own organisational evolution. We are building the systems, processes and infrastructure we need to remain at the forefront of the circular economy journey. As such, we’re searching for individuals who have the resilience and drive required to help us on that path.

Together, we believe we can achieve a more sustainable future; a future in which waste is a resource.

 What you’ll love:

We’re searching for a dynamic, knowledgeable and passionate Major Account Manager to join our team in Rocklea, QLD!

You’ll work closely across the liquids and regulated waste industry with existing accounts, exploring ways to grow our business and retain those relationships. In tandem, you’ll develop a pipeline of new business, with a varied range of our largest customers, from construction through to hospitality and everything in between. The sales cycle is as diverse as our customer base; at times you’ll present a simple proposal and at others, you’ll be responding to tenders.

The potential to grow your portfolio is endless. Every single commercial and industrial business produces waste, and you’ll have the autonomy and scope to drive growth with no handbrake on!

Reasons you’ll stay:

  • You can make a real difference: you will be encouraged to critically evaluate our practices and propose ways of improving them. We are on a Safety Culture transformation journey, and we need your energy and expertise to help us get there.
  • Autonomy: you’ll have the empowerment you need to be successful and the independence and autonomy to thrive. You will be encouraged to be resourceful and creative in solving real problems for the business.
  • Work that matters: contribute to a more sustainable future. The solutions you’ll be representing will support businesses, the community and the environment.
  • Incredible growth: this role will provide you with an opportunity to grow and develop. We cannot wait to help you develop your skills and knowledge further.

 Who you are:

  • Commercial nous: You are an experienced business to business sales professional, able to share your successful track record of results in winning new business and retaining existing accounts.
  • Trusted relationships: You have a natural ability to build trusted relationships with decision makers.
  • Sales pipeline: You’re able to maintain prospect and lead information in our CRM system, ensuring you use our systems and resources to support your success.
  • Documentation: You’ll be able to respond to tenders and complete all proposals. You’ll be a skilled presenter; you know your way around Excel and Powerpoint and can make those presentations sing.
  • Attributes: Whilst experience in the waste arena is a nice to have, more important to us is the drive, motivation and resilience required to succeed in a high growth, dynamic environment.

About your experience:

  • Direct experience across managing local, state and/or national accounts.
  • Solid experience in sales and customers service in the waste industry, specifically liquids, chemicals, aqua and/or regulated waste.
  • Tertiary studies in the area of Sales, Business or Chemical / Process engineering is desirable.
  • 3 years’ experience in an Area Sales Manager role, wanting to step into a Major Account Manager opportunity.

Are you with us? To Apply:

  • You’ll need proof of entitlement to work in Australia.
  • You’ll undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
  • REMONDIS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we invite you to be part of an organisation that fosters a diverse workplace. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
