About the Role:

As the Management Accountant – Integrated Managed Services, you will be based at the REMONDIS Richlands, QLD operation. Working directly with the Commercial & Finance Manager, this role will see you build strong relationships across multiple operational sites and partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive business efficiency and continuous improvement.

 

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development of financial and related business strategies to meet the financial management and reporting needs for the business units.
  • Assist month end financial close process and adhere to strict reporting timeframes.
  • Month end close activities - journal preparation, reconciliation of accounts, variance analysis and commentary.
  • Play a part in the development of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasting.
  • Processing of accounts payable, procurement and reconciliation of supplier accounts.
  • Generate accurate and timely client invoices and reports on a monthly basis where required.
  • Assisting with capital expenditure requests.
  • Prepare relevant reports and information to management as requested, ensuring accuracy always meets high standards.
  • Work collaboratively with all other teams/business units within the organisation, assisting those teams in meeting their business objectives.
  • Continuous improvement - be involved in consistently looking at ways to improve processes and systems.
  • Assist with the broader IMS team and perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.
  • Assist in administrative work and any other duties associated with the IMS business.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • CPA designation or working towards your certification.
  • Experience understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and CAPEX.
  • Proficient accounting exposure with software and systems, particularly high-level Excel proficiency and speed, grouped with MS FinOps / Dynamics.
  • Analytical and highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Strong business acumen and effective communication across all levels of business operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of integrated management services across waste management practices or similar industry highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a team orientated collaborative approach.
  • Genuine business engagement and negotiation skills.
