About the role:

REMONDIS Australia is a leading player in the waste management industry, committed to delivering efficient and environmentally responsible waste solutions. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Supervisor to join our team and drive excellence in our operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement daily runs and route optimisation in conjunction with Operations staff, Drivers, and Sales representatives.
  • Schedule and optimise routes for waste collection and disposal.
  • Oversee the daily operations of trucks and ensure compliance with safety regulations and the NHVR.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage rosters and labour hire to meet operational demands.
  • Lead and engage teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and improve operational performance, ensuring high standards of service.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports for management review.
  • Effectively communicate with Customers, and drivers to ensure collection services and equipment deliveries meet and /or exceed the customers’ expectations.
  • Ensure customer service level expectations are met and /or exceeded

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in scheduling routes, truck mechanical knowledge, supervisring contractors, rosters, and engaging labour hire.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background in the waste industry, manufacturing, transport, or logistics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • HR licence preferable but not essential
