Who We Are:

REMONDIS Australia is one of the country’s leading waste management companies, providing end-to-end solutions in collection, treatment, resource recovery and disposal across industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors.

We’re currently seeking a hands-on, trade-qualified Maintenance Technician/Fitter Plant Mechanic to join our team in Jandakot WA and work both there and on customer sites.

About the role:

This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of machinery and equipment used for waste processing and disposal. You will perform mechanical and minor electrical repairs, diagnose and resolve equipment faults, ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, and undertake preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, service and repair fixed plant equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot faults and minimize downtime through proactive repairs
• Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex problems and make accurate repairs.
• Perform regular schedule preventive maintenance and safety checks
• Support new equipment installations and project upgrades
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts
• Collaborate across teams and assist other trades when needed
• Conduct on-call duties when required.

What You’ll Bring

• Trade certificate – Plant/Fitter Mechanic, Boilermaker
• Experience with waste assets, compactors or mobile plant is essential (Forklift/Compactor)
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills
• Reliable, with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Physically capable

• Early starts – 7:00am
• One Saturday On Call every 3 weeks – penalty rate and allowance apply
