Waste Truck Driver / Operator

We currently have opportunity for a professional Driver/Operator to join our Gladstone Team at REMONDIS, to operate hook-lift vehicles, skip trucks, vacuum tankers and telehandlers. Some of these vehicles are a truck and dog configuration, so an HC license is preferred. There will be some additional on-site duties required. Candidates who have the necessary qualifications and experience to operate all or a number of these vehicle types will be highly regarded.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Efficiently operating the above-mentioned vehicles and plant
• Providing an effective essential service in collecting, transporting, and disposing of a range of waste and recyclable materials.
• Maintaining a safe work environment for yourself, your colleagues, and the public.
• Protecting the environment.
• Continuously looking for to improve our service delivery and reduce the risks associated with the work we do.
• Adhering to customer procedures / rules when undertaking work on their sites.
• Attend to basic maintenance of vehicles, including maintaining vehicles in a clean and tidy state.
• Completing day-to-day documentation accurately and timely manner.

Position Requirements:

• HC driver’s license along with previous experience with a good driving record.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good time management and literacy skills.
• Safety focus.
• Experience in a similar position essential.
• Knowledge of the local area preferable.
• Will need to pass a Police / Explosive Security check.
